Overview
Web sites hosted with Nexigen reside on industry-leading Dell PowerEdge™
servers in our state-of-the art datacenter located in downtown
Cincinnati. We are a top-level hosting provider, i.e. we do not resell
the hosting services of other companies nor do we overload our servers
with more web sites than they can handle.
Connectivity
We do not rely on any single internet connectivity provider. The servers in
our datacenter are connected to the internet backbone utilizing fiber
connections to MCI and TimeWarner capable of BGP routing to keep data
flowing to your web site at top speeds even if a provider experiences
congestion or downtime.
The internal network has been engineered from the ground up to
accommodate the high availability demands of our customers' mission-critical
web applications. Our fault tolerant core network utilizes Cisco NPE-G1s and
gigabit switches that allow us to provide maximum uptime even with the
largest spikes in traffic.
Security
Nexigen's datacenter is secured with advanced systems including biometric
fingerprint scanners and video surveillance and is monitored 24x7 by
security personnel to protect physical access to your servers.
Network data security features 24x7 real-time monitoring of network
traffic and intrusion detection systems.
Servers
We feature Dell PowerEdge servers for our web hosting accounts. Each server
is configured with
hardware RAID configured for hard drive mirroring. System utilization is
closely monitored to ensure servers are not overloaded.
Shared hosting plans are available on either a Microsoft Windows 2003 or
RedHat Enterprise Linux 4 (RHEL4) server and come with an easy-to-use and
powerful control panel to manage your hosting environment.
Environment
Our power system features uninterruptable power supplies backed up with
multiple generators with at least two days of fuel onsite.
Our fully redundant environmental control system ensures optimum
temperature and humidity for our servers and network equipment.
